Quiz of the Day
Ten mixed questions — grammar and vocabulary, three question types — drawn fresh for today’s date. Everyone who plays today gets the same paper, so you can compare scores with a friend. Finish it and copy your Wordle-style score card in one tap.
How the daily quiz works
- One paper a day, the same for everyone. The set is seeded from the calendar date, not from your browser, so two learners comparing phones on the same day see the same ten questions.
- Mixed on purpose. Four grammar topics and three vocabulary themes — plus the irregular verbs every third day — so the paper tests retrieval, not just the topic you practised last.
- Three question types. Multiple choice, gap fill and listening dictation (hidden automatically on devices with no speech support).
- A streak, on your device only. Finish the paper on consecutive days and the streak grows. No account, no upload — it lives in this browser's local storage.
- A score card you can paste anywhere. 🟩 correct, 🟥 wrong, two rows of five — a Wordle-style result that never spoils the answers.
Want a longer session? Follow today's paper with the 20-question mixed review, or pick a topic from the grammar drills and vocabulary drills indexes. Teachers can turn any topic into a printable worksheet or build a custom sheet in the worksheet builder.
Scored badly? Nothing is wasted: every wrong answer joins your mistakes book, and one tap re-drills exactly those questions until they are gone.
Quiz of the Day: Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Quiz of the Day the same for everyone?
Yes. The ten questions are generated from the calendar date, so every visitor on the same date gets the same paper in the same order — nothing is stored on a server and no account is needed. The paper changes at local midnight, so a new one is waiting the next time you visit.
How many questions are in the daily quiz?
Ten, mixed across grammar and vocabulary topics and across question types: multiple choice, gap fill and listening dictation where your device can speak. Ten questions take most learners two to four minutes.
What is the block square result and how do I share it?
After you finish, press “Copy my result” and Drillspress copies a Wordle-style card: one row of five green or red squares per block of five questions, plus your score, your daily streak and the link. Paste it into any chat to challenge a friend without spoiling the answers.
Does the daily quiz keep a streak?
Yes, on your own device. Finish the paper on consecutive days and the streak grows; your best streak is kept too. Everything lives in your browser’s local storage, so it is private, and clearing your browser data clears the streak.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing is lost except your streak: it restarts at one when you play again. Scores and mistakes from every paper you finish are kept on the My progress page, so you can always see what you practised earlier.
