How do we describe where something hurts?
Say My head hurts, I have a pain in my shoulder, or My leg aches. We can also use have + body word: I have a sore throat, I have a headache.
When do we use a or an with body parts?
Body parts are countable, so use a/an in the singular: an eye, an arm, a nose, a finger. Notice an before vowel sounds: an ear, an ankle.
