How do we form yes/no questions in the present simple?
Put do or does before the subject and use the base verb: She works → Does she work? They live here → Do they live here? With be, invert: He is tired → Is he tired?
How do we form wh- questions?
Start with the question word (what, where, when, why, who, how), then the auxiliary, then the subject: Where do you live? Why is she crying? Who is subject of the verb needs no auxiliary: Who wrote this?
What is the correct word order in English questions?
English questions follow: (Question word) + auxiliary + subject + main verb. Example: What time does the train leave? A common learner error is keeping statement order: *What time the train leaves?
